Like so many of the shops we post on we discovered Waterloo.com through a user suggestion. They’ve got a fantastic collection of movie and music inspired retro design shirts from Janis Joplin to The Clock Work Orange. Also a few based on recent flicks like Big Fish. The shop is based in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Where’s the low down from owner Fabricio.

So tell us about your shirts.
Waterloo is inspired in classic bands such as Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, The Rolling Stones and cult Movies such as Clockwork Orange, Labyrinth, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, etc…all with a retro style. We are actually selling t-shirts for men and women, but in 2 weeks (exclusive!) we are introducing retro shorts for women.

How long have you been selling?
The online shop was launched on November 2006.

And how did you get started selling shirts?
We started selling t-shirts to years ago to our friends, and friends of our friends, the we put a stand every weekend at a fashion store in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Do you have a physical store?
Not yet. We are planning to open one during 2007.

What’s story behind your name?
Waterloo came from a Kinks song named “Waterloo Sunset”.

What are some of your most popular items?
Our Led Zepplin shirt and Clockwork Orange. Rolling Stone’s Exile on Main Street too.

Do you have a particular creative process you follow? What inspires you?
All of our designs are inspired in the music and movies that got inside our soul.

What’s the most important thing you’ve learned about being in the t-shirt business?
We are learning all the time, from how to improve our position at the search engines…to join affiliate programs to promote our site.
