We first crossed paths with One Six tees last fall when we stumbled on a video ad on YouTube.com. I was suprised at the quality given the typical low production value of pretty much everything on YouTube. The video was a sharply done and seemed like a great way for smaller shops to gain a bit of viral exposure.
So when I got an email from One Six earlier this month everything made that much more sense. Once again, a great story of entrepreneurial ambition. A father daughter duo creating cool shirt designs to help fund college. Dad owns a design studio and the daughter is a second year film student. Hence, good design and great video.
The collection of tees is geared toward the female crowd and lets buyers select any design they’d like and then choose any shirt to have it put on any shirt. Nice custom twist. They’ve got a nice selection of designs and shirt styles. Hit ‘em ladies.

We’ve got a pair of great retro styles tees for all the female sports fans out there. This shirt from the Playboy store gives new meaning to the acronym C.I.A. The Cute in Anything tee is proof there’s cool stuff on Playboy’s site for women too. Their online store actually has some pretty tees for men and women. Check em out.
Here’s a pre nose job photo of Ashlee Simpson, flaunting the fact she like boy’s who vote. I really wasn’t aware the Ashlee Simpson understood what voting is, but the liking boys part generally makes sense.
The classic wife beater has spawned the boy beater. American Apparel has got great stuff, if you’re not familiar. Even better is shopping for it at Karmaloop.com. The whole wife beater / boy beater branding got some big play a few weeks ago when somebody protested over the use of those terms in a print ad. I’m sorry I’m slim on details, but I heard it played out on a talk radio show. It was really ridiculous all in all. It’s just a shirt people. Nobody is going to beat their wife or boy because they’re wearing one or reading an ad. Chill.
