It’s been a while since a t-shirt made this much news. The Scientology Is Gay, Very Gay t-shirt worn here by indie film guy John Roecker has at least a few people pissed. One of them scientologist Jenna Elfman. Here’s the scope from TMZ.com:
“Indie film director John Roecker tells TMZ he was walking to his car with a female friend in LA’s trendy Los Feliz neighborhood last Sunday when he was approached by a shirtless man and a tall blonde. “Hey, man, you’re making fun of my religion,” said the stranger angrily.
Roecker quickly recognized the couple as actor Bodhi Elfman and his wife, ‘Dharma and Greg’ star Jenna Elfman. Mr. Elfman’s ire was apparently drawn by Roecker’s self-made t-shirt, which had a picture of Tom Cruise on the front under the caption “Scientology is Gay!” and a ‘Stayin’-Alive’-era John Travolta on the back with the words “Very Gay!” For the record, both Cruise and Travolta have said repeatedly they are not gay.”
The encounter was later relayed to KROQ morning hosts Kevin and Bean. Apparently this isn’t the first time Roecker’s t-shirts have offended the scientologist bunch. Pretty funny if you ask me. The t-shirt is so out there I don’t think anyone is taking it seriously, well except for the Scientologists.

Fitting I guess that we have Christina Aguilera and Britney Spears t-shirts back to back. You can get a Deep Throat shirt shirt similar to the one Christina Aguilera is wearing at
Mega retailer Abercrombie & Fitch has announced that it will stop selling several t-shirts after being boycotted by teenage girls. The girls have objected to slogans on the shirts they believe are demeaning. Who need brains when you have these slogan t-shirts, and Blonds are adored, brunettes are ignored are two of the slogans that may have led to the teenage girl-cott.
