Dom Rebel’s Tees on the Runway

Wednesday, March 26th, 2008

For fans of designer Dom Rebel here’s a clip from the runway featuring pretty much only the tees. I honestly have no clue who Dom Rebel is. But I’m guessing the tees are going for a good 100 clams.

The New Affair

Cortos Crash from The Affair

New tees from The Affair to forward on. We’ve said it before, but I’ll say it again – coolest flash t-shirt site we’ve ever played with. ‘Corto’s Crash’ shown above was inspired by William Gibson’s ‘Neuromancer’. Unfortunately I’m not familiar with Gibson or Neuromancer, but I dig stuff that has an interesting backstory. The second of the three new tees after the jump. If you’re interest is peaked, hit up The-Affair.com for the third.

Stormtroppers Need Shirts Too

Monday, March 3rd, 2008

I stumbled across this funky video of a Stormtropper shopping for a t-shirt over at Ministry of Design. Unfortunately I can’t read French so I’m at a lose to provide much info, but the clip caught my eye. So did this strange t-shirt feature Kate Moss with a red target and skull and cross bones covered with Swarovski crystals. No clue, but check it out after the jump.

Watchout for Ryan Sullivan

I don’t often post up a shop or designer after seeing just a single shirt. Not that we’re doing exhaustive research here, (hell who are kidding) but I do usually like to least a few tees. However I was so amused, intrigued and bewildered by Ryan Sullivan’s site featuring floating monkey’s in space that, well, I’m postin. You can see the funky flash action at www.ryanps.com. As for the shirt. I dig it. Supposedly available at Chocosho.com, and apparently other retailers on the way, although I couldn’t find it at Chocosho. They’re handmade low run stuff, so maybe out of stock? Maybe check back? Maybe maybe.

New Turtlehead tees with Polyphonic Spree

Turtlehead and the band The Polyphonic Spree have collaborated on 3 new tees as part of the “Fragile Army” series. The shirt designs are based on The Polyphonic Spree’s lastest album, of the same name. Cool stuff and a very interesting collaborative effort. The tees are in super limited editions. So hit em quick if you’re interested. www.turtlehead.ie

Singer 22 Web Site

Any of our regular readers know we love celebrity t-shirt spotting, but we’re not always the best at tracking down exactly where the celebs got the shirts. You can pretty much chalk that up to laziness and the fact there are a gazillion shirt shops out there. But one sure fire way of tracking down what the biggest celebrities are wearing is to hit up Singer22.com. They’ve just done a complete redesign to the site and you’ll have no problem finding tons of celeb pictures and great niche designer brands. It’s a great place to start right after you check our site ;-) .

Paul Jacober – Nevermind the Roses

Saturday, January 26th, 2008

Paul Jacober

Graphic designer Paul Jacober has released a new appparel line dubbed Nevermind the Roses. The series of tees are a ‘tongue-in-cheek’ play on popular British imagery. Our Union Jack sample tee was incredibly soft and ‘pre-distressed’ around the edges for a nice vintage look but without the super faded appearance of real vintage tee graphic.

“The great thing about these shirts is that it is the first REAL fashion-take on what some could consider a souvenir shirt,” said Paul. “The reason being is that the shirts represent innovative and imaginative designs on an upscale quality of shirt. All these details strategically thought out allow the shirt to easily transition from daytime wear to nighttime hip.”

Nightime hip is probably a good description considering their price point falls above the $50 mark. ($52 to be exact). Little rich for a lot of casual tee fans, but nice. Pauljacober.com.

Material Bitch Builds a Brand

Fucking Fabulous T-Shirt

With the shopping frenzy of the holidays just behind us we could think of a better time to post up Material Bitch – a mouthy and irreverent brand with a handful of attention getting women’s tees and tanks. From Fucking Fabulous (shown below) to the medieval logo tee Material Bitch’s attitude comes through loud and clear. The tees (and one tracksuit) are available online, and also in a handful of boutique clothing stores in Arizona.
