I’ve found a new shop to add to my list of personal favorites. I guess it’s the traveler in me, but love the concept and method these guys use to create their shirts. InVIAGGIO designs are inspired directly by their world travels. Though out of Washington D.C. their look is very European. It appear the imagery comes straight from photos that have been posterized down to a single color. The effect is very cool, as are the images.
Our sample tee Las Botellas features a bar full of beer and wine bottles - an important part of any trip to Italy. The shirt ranks super high on the softness factor and has been pre-distressed for that beat-to-hell, worn in look. Super comfortable. The women’s tee below is name La Pintada, from Spain. Not the first, and likely not the last time we spot Lindsay Lohan in an Iron Maiden tee. Though I wasn’t able to locate this exact shirt I did find a pretty good selection of vintage maiden stuff on ebay.
Here’s an interesting site out of London. Contrastshop.com features quite a few hand-drawn looking t-shirt designs. While a number of them didn’t really do it for me from a design or execution standpoint, there were a few I liked. The one posted here is the Bridge tee. Tateman was good too. They do have a pretty interesting marketing spin as well. They take a mannequin out to public spaces and photograph it wearing various tees. Worth a look.
Yet another spin on Milton Glassers classic I Love New York shirt. This time it’s Jordin Sparks wearing an I ‘Hello Kitty’ New York tee? What? Ah, ok, I think we can stop replacing the heart in the I Heart New York shirts now. It doesn’t even make sense.
This clip is pretty short, but well worth the watch. Classic wet t-shirt from the incredible Carmen Electra. Why she’s getting out of a pool with her t-shirt still on I have no idea. But considering you can see right through it, I’m not complaining. I’d hit up MrSkin if you’re interested in figuring out what movie the clip came from.
