The Illustration of VJU Cool Tees

Friday, June 22nd, 2007

Sponsored Post:

We field review requests from a lot of small t-shirt shops. One thing a lot of the shops have in common is that the shirt designs are pretty simple. With the accessibility of online t-shirt stores like CafePress and Spreadshirt anyone can start up a t-shirt business. Now don’t get us wrong, that’s a great thing. But you don’t always find shirt designs with a high level of illustration. Which leads us to VJUCool.com.

VJU Cool has a wide selection of tees packed with great illustration. The shirts are designed around a collection of themes ranging from Geishas to Pirates and Hip Hop to Divine Inspiration. It’s an eclectic mix of subjects but they all feature a distinct illustration style. Bold and graphic at first glance, but full of detail and craftsmanship.

Sidearm Clothing Commercials

Tuesday, June 12th, 2007

Viral video is quickly changing the face of advertising. While YouTube may not offer up the same audience as a 30 second spot on the Superbowl, it does provide a way for anyone with a video camera, a product to sell and some creativity to reach a worldwide audience. And for t-shirt entrepreneurs who usually start up with a shoestring budget working out of a garage, or with an online shop like CafePress, or Spreadshirt, it’s a great medium to inexpensively promote their shops.

All that being said this is the first post in a new series that will explore the world of viral video clothing commercials. Sidearm Clothing has a number of commercial spots on YouTube. Good looking tees, creative spots and effective marketing.

The Hidden Temple of Tees

Legend of the Hidden Temple Blue Barracuda T-Shirt

First, I’ve got to admit I’ve never seen the Nickelodean gameshow Legends of the Hidden Temple. (Sorry Micheal). But I will say I dig these shirts from Hidden Temple Tees. Based on team art from the gameshow - Blue Barracudas, Green Monkeys, Orange Iguanas, Purple Parrots, Red Jaguars and Silver Snakes they feature cool hieroglyphic lookin’ designs. Check em out at: hiddentempletees.com.

And for a good laugh, find yourself a Geico Caveman tee. I’ll have the Roasted Duck with the Mango Salsa. Say please. Who would have ever guessed cavemen would be so popular. ABC even gave them their own show - though I guarantee it won’t make it through the first season, but hey, good for Geico. Grab it at mypartyshirt.com.
